GOOD RETAIL PRACTICES
Good Retail Practices (GRPs) are preventive measures that include practices and procedures that effectively control the introduction of pathogens, chemicals and physical objects into food. If GRPs are not implemented, they could contribute to foodborne illness.
FOOD STORAGE: FOOD STORAGE CONTAINERS IDENTIFIED
Examples violating good retail practices include food items not properly stored at least 6 inches off the floor or prepackaged food items stored in employee restroom.
REQUIREMENTS
- Food shall be stored in approved containers and labeled as to contents [§114047, §114049, §114051, §114053, §114055, §114067(h), §114069(b)]
- Food shall be stored at least 6 inches above the floor on approved shelving (§114047, §114049, §114055)
