GOOD RETAIL PRACTICES

Good Retail Practices (GRPs) are preventive measures that include practices and procedures that effectively control the introduction of pathogens, chemicals and physical objects into food. If GRPs are not implemented, they could contribute to foodborne illness.

NO UNAPPROVED PRIVATE HOMES/LIVING OR SLEEPING QUARTER

Examples violating good retail practices include a sofa with a sleeping bag located in the back of the restaurant or a mattress stored under food storage shelving.

REQUIREMENTS

  • No sleeping accommodations shall be in any room where food is prepared, stored or sold (§114285, §114286)
