MINOR VIOLATIONS
Minor violations do not directly cause foodborne illness, but are important factors in providing safe, wholesome and unadulterated food products. A minor violation does not pose an imminent health hazard, but if not corrected could possibly lead to an imminent health hazard.
FOOD HANDLER TRAINING
An example of a minor violation includes a food employee that does not possess a valid food handler training certificate within 10 calendar days of employment.
REQUIREMENTS
- All food handlers shall possess a valid food handler training certificate, or an in-house food handler exams within 10 calendar days of employment or change of food safety certified manager (ยง113947.5, SDCC 61.114 & 61.115)
