MINOR VIOLATIONS
Minor violations do not directly cause foodborne illness, but are important factors in providing safe, wholesome and unadulterated food products. A minor violation does not pose an imminent health hazard, but if not corrected could possibly lead to an imminent health hazard.
CONSUMER ADVISORY PROVIDED FOR RAW OR UNDERCOOKED FOODS
Examples of minor violations include the failure to provide adequate consumer warning when raw eggs or meat are less than thoroughly cooked, such as a Caesar salad dressing or Hollandaise sauce made with raw, unpasteurized eggs.
REQUIREMENTS
- Ready-to-eat foods made from or containing eggs, comminuted meat, or single pieces of meat that are raw or have not been thoroughly cooked may be served if the facility notifies the consumer orally or in writing at the time of ordering (ยง114093)
