MINOR VIOLATIONS
Minor violations do not directly cause foodborne illness, but are important factors in providing safe, wholesome and unadulterated food products. A minor violation does not pose an imminent health hazard, but if not corrected could possibly lead to an imminent health hazard.
SEWAGE & WASTEWATER PROPERLY DISPOSED
Examples of minor violations include floor sink draining slowly, mop water disposed of in a parking lot or the condensation line from a walk-in refrigerator is draining into a bucket instead of an approved waste disposal system.
REQUIREMENTS
- All liquid waste must drain to an approved fully functioning sewage disposal system (§114197)
- All plumbing shall be installed and maintained so as to prevent contamination, and kept clean and in good repair (§114190)
- All equipment that discharges liquid waste shall drain indirectly through an air gap into a floor sink or other approved receptor/evaporator (§114193)
- Grease traps and grease interceptors must be properly installed and maintained (§114201)
