MINOR VIOLATIONS

Minor violations do not directly cause foodborne illness, but are important factors in providing safe, wholesome and unadulterated food products. A minor violation does not pose an imminent health hazard, but if not corrected could possibly lead to an imminent health hazard.

SEWAGE & WASTEWATER PROPERLY DISPOSED

Examples of minor violations include floor sink draining slowly, mop water disposed of in a parking lot or the condensation line from a walk-in refrigerator is draining into a bucket instead of an approved waste disposal system.

  • All equipment that discharges liquid waste shall drain indirectly through an air gap into a floor sink or other approved receptor/evaporator (§114193)
  • Grease traps and grease interceptors must be properly installed and maintained (§114201)
