Summary |
The decedent was a 50 year old, Caucasian male who resided in Arizona. On the afternoon of 02/19/2025, a person jogging along the beach in Ocean Beach noticed an object floating in the water. The jogger approached the object and noticed it appeared to be a person. The jogger was able to flag down a lifeguard and activate 9-1-1. Multiple lifeguards responded to the scene and retrieved the decedent from the water. San Diego Police arrived on scene and confirmed the death. |

Based on preliminary information, on the morning of 01/25/2025, a bystander saw a capsized boat near the Ocean Beach Pier. 911 was called for assistance with multiple law enforcement and fire department units responding to the location. Upon their arrival, the decedent was found to be one of many persons trapped within the capsized boat. She was extricated from the boat and found unresponsive. Responding paramedics provided lifesaving measures while transporting her to the UC San Diego Medical Center's Emergency Department. Upon arrival, medical staff assumed the provision of lifesaving measures to no avail with death being pronounced. |

Summary |
The decedent was a 59-year-old female who resided in San Diego. Based on preliminary information, on 01/24/2025, the decedent was driving a Toyota SUV eastbound within the 10600 block of South Brookville Drive in San Diego. For unknown reasons, the decedent apparently lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree prior to being partially ejected from the SUV. Local residents heard the collision and called 911 with law enforcement and fire personnel dispatched to the call for service. Summary |
The decedent was a 65-year-old female who was homeless in San Diego. Based on preliminary information, on 01/12/2025, the decedent was apparently sleeping on the ground within a parking lot between a short concrete barrier and the concrete wall separating the lot from the street within the 600 block of East San Ysidro Boulevard. A Honda sedan apparently drove over the concrete barrier within the lot and struck the decedent before driving over the edge of the concrete wall with the decedent unknowingly pinned under the sedan. A tow truck arrived on scene and moved the vehicle exposing the decedent and 911 was called. Law enforcement and fire personnel were dispatched to the call for service. Responding emergency services personnel extricated the decedent and provided lifesaving measures to no avail prior to death being pronounced via radio by a local emergency department. |

Summary |
The decedent was a 26 year old, Hispanic male who resided with family in a home in San Diego. On the afternoon of 12/13/2024, the decedent and his minor son were walking the family's three dogs in a park in Mira Mesa. For unknown reasons, the dogs began to attack the decedent. Emergency Medical Services were activated on the decedent's behalf and paramedics transported the decedent to the Scripps Memorial Hospital Emergency Department. Despite aggressive resuscitative efforts death was pronounced.
