Property Reutilization
The Property Reutilization section of the Department of Purchasing and Contracting manages the reutilization and disposition of County surplus property. If another County department does not reuse such property, the property must be disposed of through auction, competitive sealed bid, or recycling.
LIVE AUCTIONS
The County has
contracted with a professional auction company to conduct live
auctions for fleet vehicles and salvaged general property on the
County’s behalf:
Liquidity Services Operations, LLC dba GovDeals. 6931 Arlington Rd. # 200 Bethesda, MD 20814
INTERNET AUCTIONS
Some surplus property items are auctioned through GovDeals.com. The County primarily targets local bidders who can pick up items on-site since these items will not be packaged or shipped.
