Summary: The Administrative Services Division (ASD) is responsible for supporting all of the various Auditor and Controller divisions. A partial list of functions that ASD performs are as follows: budget preparation and monitoring, quarterly reports to the Chief Administrative Office, fund balance projections and reports, employee recognition, invoice processing, coordinating departmental trainings and town hall meetings, departmental excellence goals administration, submission of information technology service requests, procurement card administration, record retention and destruction functions, word processing support, departmental mail delivery services, processing and submission of year-end financial filings, do it better by suggestion (DIBBS) coordination, development and updates of the continuity of operations plan (COOP), account for and hold secure warrant stock, emergency operations plan (EOP), facility services, administration of employee identification cards and parking permits. In addition to supporting the various divisions of the Auditor and Controller, ASD also provides various levels of administrative and financial support to other County departments and external agencies. Some of the departments and agencies supported are: Chief Administrative Office, Finance and General Government Group Executive Office, County Communications Office, Grand Jury, Public Safety Group Executive Office, Land Use Environmental Group Executive Office, Local Agency Formation Commission, Citizens Law Review Board, and San Diego Geographic Information Source (SanGIS). ASD also maintains a storeroom which performs high speed, high volume print services including check printing, folding and inserting of envelopes for mailing. The ASD storeroom unit utilizes the latest high speed equipment for processing. Many county departments and external agencies utilize the printing, insertion and folding services performed by ASD’s storeroom. ASD’s storeroom is responsible for printing checks for the Health and Human Services Agency, Sheriff, Housing and Community Development, Payroll and Accounts Payable. As well as printing checks, ASD also performs mail insertion for the following departments and external agencies: Housing and Community Development, Sheriffs, Assessor, Treasurer- Tax Collector, Health and Human Services Agency, Environmental Health, City of Chula Vista, National City, Carlsbad Water District, Revenue and Recovery, Auditor and Controller, Human Resources, Courts, Escondido School District, Air Pollution Control District, Registrar of Voters, Department of Planning and Land Use, Agriculture Weights and Measures, Public Works and the San Diego Housing Commission. |
