GETTING AN ORDER

Either parent or legal guardian can open a case. | Time it takes to get an order depends on whether the absent parent needs to be located or if there is an existing court order. | If both parents can agree on an amount, they may be able to avoid going to court by filing a stipulated agreement. | After an order is set, payments are scheduled to begin, usually by payroll deduction. |
