Reporting Guidelines

The following information is provided to support animal reporting efforts.

• Animal diseases, directly reportable by phone (619) 692-8499 to the Epidemiology Unit (Title 17, 2500), include the following:
  • Anthrax
  • Brucellosis
  • Plague
  • Rabies
  • Tularemia
  • Viral Hemorrhagic Fevers
  • Novel Virus Infection with Pandemic Potential – Including Influenza in Cats
  • OCCURANCE of ANY UNUSUAL DISEASE
  • OUTBREAKS OF ANY DISEASE
