Apiary Inspection
What goes on in an apiary inspection?
An Apiary Inspector ensures that the apiary meets best management practices for beekeeping that are required by the San Diego County ordinance. The Inspector will help beekeepers check for diseases and pests that can affect the health of their bee colonies and neighboring colonies. The Inspector also ensures the beekeeper complies with distance, water, fire prevention, and other ordinance requirements so that people and honey bees can coexist in close proximity.
