Weights & Measures
Weights & Measures works to ensure a fair market so that
the products you buy are accurate in price, label, weight, and
measure. We do this by testing each commercial scale, meter, and
device, as well as verifying prices and point-of-sales systems. We
also inspect gas pumps and other petroleum products, weighmaster
stations, and product labels and packaging to make sure that you get
what you pay for.
Next time you're at the market or the gas station, look for the official seal and notice below on your pump, scale, or register to know it's been tested by a County Weights & Measures inspector, as well as who to contact if you've been overcharged.
