Brian Albright

Brian Albright serves as the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for the Finance and General Government Group.

Brian joined the County in 2003 after previously served in a variety of roles in the Land Use & Environment Group, primarily as Director of Parks & Recreation with additional stints as Interim Director of Public Works and Interim Deputy CAO for LUEG. 

Earlier in his career Brian served as Parks & Recreation Director for the City of Carlsbad, CA and as the Chief of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities for the City of Alexandria, Virginia. Before joining local government he enjoyed a 7-year career with the International Trade Administration of the United States Commerce Department. While in graduate school Brian was a high school basketball coach in the Washington D.C. area. 

Brian enjoys the great outdoors. In his free time you can often find him surfing, playing golf or hiking and biking the amazing trails in San Diego County.
