We are the County Communications Office.
Our job is to create, promote and enhance two-way communication so that the County’s services and programs are driven by collaboration with the communities we serve.
We do that in many ways. We are home to the County’s “Engagement Center" and Engage San Diego County. We respond to public and media inquiries. And we proactively reach out to speak directly to you. To deliver important information, in emergencies and in everyday life. To highlight the important County services and programs to help you and our communities.
We provide clear, accurate, timely information through tools
designed to reach everyone, in multiple languages. They include
our County News Center, our award-winning videos, online, through
social media, our County News Center public access
station, and through our media partners.
CCO is made of professional, expert communicators. We have years of expertise, in writing, video and sound production, social media, web content, live-streaming, graphic design, community engagement and language access.
Our mission is to be the “go-to” source of County information on what is happening and all the ways you can be a key architect in our policies and programs. And to help reach the County’s vision of a just, sustainable and resilient future for all San Diegans.
