The outbreak of infectious diseases such as the recent Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) can be a stressful time for individuals and communities. It is not uncommon to feel anxious or worried while listening, reading or watching the news. While it’s necessary to keep up-to-date and make changes to daily life in order to help control the spread of COVID-19, the constant news cycle coupled with social distancing measures can have a real impact on mental health.

It’s important during times like these to monitor your physical and mental health, as well as safely stay connected to your community. Know the signs of stress and when and how to seek help for yourself, as well as loved ones.   • Access & Crisis Line (ACL)

    If you need support or are actively seeking services, please call the ACL at 1 (888) 724-7240, and an experienced counselor will provide you with a referral to meet your needs and help determine eligibility.

  • NAMI San Diego Helpline

    The NAMI San Diego Helpline (619-543-1434) is open for calls, and staffed by experienced volunteers and Peer/Family Support Specialists who can provide support, assistance, and connections to resources. For more information visit the helpline website.

  • National Crisis Text Line

    Text HELLO to 741741 to connect to free and confidential 24/7 support from a Crisis Counselor at the National Crisis Text Line, available throughout the U.S.   

  • The Peer-to-Peer Warm Line

  • SAMHSA Disaster Distress Line
