COVID-19 Public Health Misinformation Panel
In recognition of health misinformation being declared a public
health crisis in San Diego County on Aug.31, 2021 by the San Diego
County Board of Supervisors, medical experts were convened to review
and comment on some of the misleading claims that are circulating in
our community. This misinformation has the potential to negatively
impact the health of people and the region. The County is committed to
reviewing certain claims for accuracy and providing the public correct
information resources.
Hosted on this page are recordings of a Public Health Misinformation
Panel responding to misinformation provided during COVID-19
presentations at meetings of the San Diego County Board of
Supervisors. The first panel was convened on Oct. 6, 2021, in response
to comments made during the previous day's Board of Supervisors
meeting.
