 About East Region Administration

We serve all residents of East County through our efforts to educate and provide support to assist everyone in leading a safe, healthy and productive life. Our customers include the residents of the cities and communities of Alpine, Boulevard, Campo, Descanso, Dulzura, El Cajon, Guatay, Jacumba, Jamul, La Mesa, Lakeside, Lemon Grove, Mt. Laguna, Pine Valley, Potrero, Santee, Spring Valley, and Tecate.

Since regionalization, we have focused our efforts to work collaboratively and build capacity within our community structures. Isolation and duplication of efforts that touch the same families across the region is becoming a thing of the past. It has been our aim to capitalize on the unique strengths of the community collaboratives and maximize resources.

Our programs and services include Child Welfare Services, economic self sufficiency services via our Family Resource Centers, Public Health Nursing and Health Promotion activities. Our region has a cadre of unique programs such as the Nurse Family Partnership, a home visiting program that serves low income first-time mothers, and Neighborhoods for Kids, an initiative that aims to safely keep kids in familiar environments when they have been abused or neglected. Through our efforts to maximize resources, we reach out to our active retired adults to become involved with our programs and services. Intergenerational programs allow us to tap into an individual's strengths to improve the health and well being of children, families and older adults.
