Planning Services

The Planning Services section (Section) within the Long Range Planning division develops comprehensive plans, regulatory codes, and programs. The Section also acts the Regional Land Use coordinator for the County.

The Section is driven by the vision for the County’s future and community well-being. This future-focus informs the role of outlining project implementation and coordinating regional land use planning efforts.

Through these efforts and collaboration with stakeholders, the Section supports the goal of the Long Range Planning division to improve the long-term quality of life for all communities in the unincorporated area of the County of San Diego.
