Music at Boutique Wineries and Healthcare Trailer Process Streamlining
Here at the County, we’re currently working to amend the Zoning Ordinance in two important ways to better serve the community.
Music at Boutique Wineries
The Winery project that went to the Board earlier this year and in
response to overwhelming community feedback, the Board of Supervisors
directed staff to explore new opportunities that would allow boutique
wineries in agricultural zones to host live, amplified music on their
premises. The established standards should include limits on hours and
types of amplification as well as the potential to allow more than six
community events at boutique wineries per year under appropriate
conditions.
We are working to develop a pathway that allows for increased live
music while identifying reasonable standards to mitigate noise impacts
and ensure compatibility with surrounding areas.
Healthcare Trailers
The County of San Diego is exploring an amendment that will extend the certification period for healthcare trailers from one year to five years for individuals with permanent disabilities. This Board directed effort is looking to streamline processes and compliance measures while supporting healthcare accessibility households in the unincorporated areas.
