CAHAN San Diego Mission Statement:
To facilitate confidential communication between public health and safety agencies and the San Diego County medical community to ensure rapid identification of and response to unusual disease events, including known or suspected disease clusters, outbreaks, and possible acts of bioterrorism.

CAHAN San Diego alerts may contain information on investigations in progress and/or diagnoses that may not yet be confirmed. Access to alerts is therefore restricted to specific medical and public health personnel in San Diego County. Once received by an approved CAHAN San Diego participant, CAHAN San Diego alerts should not be further distributed. Local medical professionals should subscribe individually to receive CAHAN San Diego alerts by using the online subscription feature provided on this website.
