Riverford Road Roundabouts Project – Environmental Review

The California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) requires all discretionary projects to undergo environmental review to consider whether they might cause impacts to the environment. Below you will find several environmental documents prepared for the project in compliance with CEQA. To learn more about CEQA, click here.

For the Riverford Road Roundabouts Project, the County prepared technical studies that analyze a variety of environmental resources. Using these studies, the County prepared an Initial Study, which includes a detailed description of the project and analyzes 20+ environmental resources to determine whether the project could result in impacts.

Using the Initial Study, the County concluded that a Mitigated Negative Declaration (MND) was necessary to evaluate the project. The MND is comprised of several documents as listed below (NOI, Initial Study, MND). Its purpose is to summarize all of the technical information and disclose any impacts.
