Pure Water San Diego
The San Diego County Sanitation District participates with 12 other
wastewater agencies in the Metropolitan Wastewater Joint Powers
Authority (JPA), which supports and provides planning oversight over
the Pure Water program. The District suports the importance of
wastewater reuse as potable water.
The Pure Water San Diego Program will use proven water purification technology to clean recycled water to produce safe and high-quality drinking water. The Program offers a cost-effective investment for San Diego's water needs and will provide a reliable, sustainable water supply for nearly half of San Diego's water supply locally by the end of 2035.
