JACUMBA FIRE STATION NO. 43 DRAFT MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION

The County of San Diego Department of General Services (DGS) is proposing to construct a new approximately 8,500 square foot fire station on an approximately 2.77-acre site (portion of APN 660-150-18-00) in the unincorporated community of Jacumba. The proposed fire station would replace the existing Jacumba fire station located at 1255 Jacumba Street, Jacumba, CA 91934 (APN 660-053-01). The new fire station would be identified by the same station number and would have the same service area as the existing Jacumba Fire Station (i.e., Fire Station No. 43).

The project site is located at 44850 Old Highway 80, Jacumba within the Mountain Empire Subregional Community Plan Area of unincorporated San Diego County. 

The Draft MND is being made available for a 30-day public review period commencing on September 16, 2024 to October 16, 2024. An electronic version of the Draft MND and supporting documents are available at the links below. In-person viewing is also available at the County of San Diego, Department of General Services, 5560 Overland Avenue, Suite 410 San Diego, CA 92123 upon request.

Comments: Written comments on proposed MND must be received no later than October 16, 2024 at 4:00pm (a 30-day public review period).
