JACUMBA FIRE STATION NO. 43

FINAL MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION

The County of San Diego Department of General Services (DGS) is constructing a new approximately 8,500 square foot fire station on an approximately 2.77-acre site (portion of APN 660-150-18-00) in the unincorporated community of Jacumba. The proposed fire station would replace the existing Jacumba fire station located at 1255 Jacumba Street, Jacumba, CA 91934 (APN 660-053-01). The new fire station would be identified by the same station number and would have the same service area as the existing Jacumba Fire Station (i.e., Fire Station No. 43). The project site is located at 44850 Old Highway 80, Jacumba within the Mountain Empire Subregional Community Plan Area of unincorporated San Diego County.

A Draft MND was made available for a 30-day public review period from September 16, 2024, to October 16, 2024, and the Final MND was adopted by the County of San Diego Board of Supervisors on March 11, 2025(4).

An electronic version of the Final MND and supporting documents are available at the links below. In-person viewing is also available at the County of San Diego, Department of General Services, 5560 Overland Avenue, Suite 410, San Diego, CA 92123 upon request.
