Operations and Regulations

The Operations and Regulations Section (Ops & Regs), within the Long Range Planning division, oversees regional land use planning efforts like the creation and update of regulations and ordinances and other Board Directed efforts, as well as efforts aimed at complying with State Law. 

Ops & Regs is driven by the desire to serve public health, safety, and general welfare. These efforts are facilitated by strengthening community partnerships that maximize benefits for the region and maintaining fiscal integrity and transparency in our work and reporting. 

Through these efforts and collaboration with stakeholders, Ops & Regs supports the work of the Long Range Planning Division to inform and direct how the County’s General Plan is implemented
