Lobbyists
Lobbyist (or a Legislative Advocate) is any individual who, on behalf of another individual, firm, corporation, or organization other than himself attempts to influence any County decision by contacting, personally or by telephone any of the specified County officers or employees. Lobbyists must register with the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors Office prior to such contacts, by filing a Lobbyist Registration Form or within five (5) calendar days thereafter.
San Diego County Code of Regulatory Ordinances - Title 2, Division 3 (Lobbying Activities), Chapter 1 (Regulation of Lobbying Activities), Sections 23.101 through 23.109, contains information pertaining to Lobbying Activities and Registration Procedures and Requirements. Exceptions to the registration procedures are also delineated within the County Code, including the disclosure requirements for the Lobbyists.
Disclosures Statements from Lobbyists and firms represented by Lobbyists are required to be submitted for each calendar quarter (January 1 - March 31, April 1 - June 30, July 1 - September 30, (October 1 - December 31). These statements are due the 15th of the month following the quarter ending, to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors and it will encompass activities during the preceding quarter.

includes the elective offices/officials that the lobbyists will
attempt to influence.

firm(s) represented and the elective offices/officials that the
lobbyists will attempt to influence.

alphabetical listing by name of the firm represented and includes
the name of the lobbyist and the elective offices/officials
that the lobbyists will attempt to influence.
