Quarry Road Low Water Crosssing
Proposed Project Overview
Quarry Road east of State Route 125 floods where it crosses over Spring Valley Creek following rain events, blocking access for pedestrians, vehicles and emergency responders. The County of San Diego Department of Public Works (DPW) explored various solutions and identified three concepts that have been shared with the community through online surveys, public meetings and presentations to the Spring Valley Community Planning Group. Based on this community input, the project team determined the elevated bridge option would best meet community needs and should advance to environmental review.
