NURSING STUDENT OPPORTUNITIES
The Office of Nursing Excellence formulates and executes the education and professional development plan, which includes partnering with local nursing schools to develop the future nursing workforce. The Office of Nursing Excellence coordinates the placement of student nurses who are enrolled in academic programs that have a formal agreement with the County of San Diego.
If you are a nursing student or your nursing school is interested in precepting with County of San Diego Public Health Nurses, please contact: MCSDNursingResidencyProgram.HHSA@sdcounty.ca.gov.
Your nursing school needs to have an existing Memoranda of Agreement (MOA) with the County of San Diego for precepting. An MOA is a formal agreement between parties that outlines how we will collaborate to support your nursing education and goals.
If your nursing school does not currently have an MOA, please contact MCSDNursingResidencyProgram.HHSA@sdcounty.ca.gov to explore further options.
