Immunizations for Immigrants and Refugees
Page originally published 4/15/2024.
The U.S.
Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)/Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention (CDC) regulations
require that all immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers receive
a medical exam. This requires proof of certain vaccines. If they do
not have proof of a required vaccine, the law states that the vaccine
must be given at the time of the medical exam.
On this
page, learn about vaccine recommendations for immigrants, refugees,
and asylum seekers.
