CAP Team Provides Presentations on the Climate Action Plan Update to Community Planning & Sponsor Groups
07/18/23
As a part of the Climate Action Plan Update (CAP Update), the County has been offering presentations to all the Community Planning & Sponsor Groups (CPSG) in the unincorporated area.
The presentations are intended to do the following: explain what the CAP Update is, how it is organized, and what potential measures could look like, answer any questions from the CPSG boards or meeting attendees about the CAP Update and c ollect input on ways to ensure the CAP Update is reflective of CPSG’s interests.
Since the beginning of May, staff have attended thirteen
in-person meetings from Borrego Springs to Twin Oaks to Campo and
various communities in between.
Many of the meetings are well attended and offer staff an
opportunity to hear directly from the residents who will be seeing
implementation of the CAP Update, once adopted,
in their communities.
Staff want to thank the CPSG’s for allowing space on their agendas to discuss this important topic!
What's next?
There are a handful of communities that staff will be visiting, so be sure to check your CPSG’s agenda to know when this item will be presented. Once this round of presentations is completed, staff will continue to offer opportunities to stay engaged with the CAP Update process and additional presentations once the document is available for public review.
To be alerted when future general workshops on the CAP Update are scheduled, be sure to subscribe to receive email updates or follow us on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.
