In-Home Supportive Services

The In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) program provides homemaker and personal care assistance to eligible individuals who are receiving Supplemental Security Income or who have a low income and need help in the home to remain independent. Assistance can include bathing, grooming, shopping, laundry, and meal preparation.

Several factors go into determining eligibility. The easiest way to apply is by calling the AIS Call Center at 800-339-4661

Care coordination programs assist older adults and their families with health and social services coming into their home.

Family Caregiver Support Program

Aging & Independence Services helps family members and others who provide care for a loved one. If you regularly aid an older relative to maintain his or her quality of life, you are a caregiver and may qualify for assistance.
