Administration
The Department of Human Resources (DHR) is responsible for all aspects of human resources management and labor relations for the County of San Diego. DHR serves as the in-house human resources consultant to the Chief Administrative Officer, executive staff and County departments. Activities are diverse, including classification, compensation, recruitment and selection for all County jobs. Additional responsibilities include: administration of employee benefits programs; risk management activities, including Workers' Compensation program and property and casualty insurances; employee training programs; labor relations; and administration of employee incentive and career development programs.
