Talent Development Division
The Talent Development Division is dedicated to enhancing the work environment and improving the quality of life for San Diego County employees through various training and development programs. The areas of concentration within Talent Development encompass:
Countywide Training
Countywide training is facilitated by the Department of Human Resources, which provides development programs applicable to County employees across department lines. In order to meet County and State requirements, Human Resources provides training in sexual harassment prevention, diversity, workplace safety, and more.
Professional Development
The Talent Development Division provides professional development opportunities to San Diego County employees that allow them to excel in their current jobs so they can continue to deliver quality service to San Diego County residents.
Leadership opportunities through Academies are also available to support the County in retaining and promoting qualified employees.
Distance Learning Program
The Talent Development Division offers over 1,000 online trainings to County employees. Our in-house instructional designers create customized trainings to support County initiatives and employees' professional development.
Customer Service Program
The Talent Development Division oversees the Countywide customer service program, Positive Approach = Positive Experience. The program provides employees with the necessary tools to provide quality service to the citizens of San Diego County.
