Food and Housing Division

The Food and Housing Division of the County of San Diego, Department of Environmental Health and Quality is responsible for protecting the public from disease, health threats, safety hazards, and nuisances as they relate to food, housing, detention facilities, public swimming pools, and body art facilities.

Protecting the environment and enhancing public health by preventing disease, promoting environmental responsibility, and when necessary, enforcing environmental and public health laws.
