Site Assessment and Mitigation Program
*SAM Announcements*
- As of July 1, 2020, San Diego County is no longer certified as a Local Oversight Program (LOP). All open LOP cases were transferred to the San Diego Regional Water Quality Control Board for oversight.
- Scanned files for closed SAM cases and Monitoring Well Program records are now available online.
The primary goal of the Site Assessment and Mitigation Program (SAM) is to protect public health, water resources, and the environment from releases of contaminants by providing oversight of assessments and cleanups in accordance with the California Health and Safety Code and the California Code of Regulations (CCR).
