Crisis Services
These services can help people of all ages who are having a mental health, drug, or alcohol-related crisis. Call or text 9-8-8 if you need help now.
24/7 Phone Support

- Call or text 9-8-8 or call the Access and Crisis Line at 1-888-724-7240 to speak to a trained crisis specialist right now with interpreter services available in over 200 languages.
- Call 9-1-1 if you are having an emergency.
In-Person and Field-Based Services

- Dispatched through 9-8-8, Mobile Crisis Response Teams (MCRT) can help you or a loved one if there is a mental health or substance use crisis. They can come to you 24/7 anywhere in San Diego County. MCRTs are made up of three staff: a mental health clinician, a case manager, and a peer support specialist.
- Dispatched through 9-1-1, Psychiatric Emergency Response Teams (PERT) also come to your location, available 6am-midnight. PERT teams are made up of a licensed mental health clinican paired with a specially trained law enforcement officer.
Walk-In Crisis Support

- There are six Crisis Stabilization Units (CSUs) located throughout San Diego County - five for adults and one for children and adolescents. Each CSU provides 24/7 crisis care in a calm, therapeutic setting.
- The San Diego County Psychiatric Hospital has walk-in emergency mental health services for adults.
- Behavioral Health Clinics offer walk-in crisis care for adults during regular business hours.
