Emergency Medical Care Committee (EMCC)

Mission Statement

As advisors to the San Diego County Board of Supervisors, the Mission of the Emergency Medical Care Committee is to be an advocate for the community through the development of strategies for continuous improvement of the emergency medical services system.

   A-74 Citizen Participation in County Boards, Commissions and Committees

Emergency Medical Care Committee Bylaws

EMCC meets on the 4th Thursday of every month, 9:30 a.m., (except in August and December).

These meetings will be held in-person beginning March 1, 2023.

EMCC has three subcommittees. These subcommittees meet on an as-needed basis:

  • Prehospital/Hospital
  • Education Research
  • Disaster/Operations

The Executive Board meets at the call of the Chairperson, or at the request of a majority of the Members of the Executive Board.

Base Station Physicians' Committee (BSPC)

Purpose:

To designate an advisory committee to provide consultation, medical protocol review, and recommendations regarding prehospital medical care issues to the Medical Director of the County of San Diego Emergency Medical Services (EMS).

BSPC meets the 3rd or 4th Tuesday of every month at 11:00 a.m. (except August and December).

BSPC will be held virtually until further notice.

BSPC meetings, if held in-person in the future, may be held at the following locations:

  • Sharp Spectrum Administration Building, 8695 Spectrum Center Court, San Diego, CA 92123
  • Sharp Copley Building, 5651 Copley Drive, San Diego, CA 92111
  • Sharp Tech Way Building, 8520 Tech Way, San Diego, CA 92123

The CSA 17 Advisory Committee meets quarterly on the 1st Tuesday of the month at 4:00 p.m. during the months of February, May, August, and November at:

  • Solana Beach City Council, 635 South Highway 101, Solana Beach, CA.
